Each week, in addition to our regular breakout sessions, all kids will get the opportunity to enjoy pool time, a water park outing, and lunch cooked on a camp fire each Friday!

Ages 5-12 are encouraged to attend. 

2017 Weekly Camp Themes

July 10-14 – Create, Build, & Grow! 

Do you like to get creative? If so, this week is filled with art and building projects while also experiencing great traditional camp activities like hiking, outdoor activities, and so much more. Let your imagination go wild because anything’s possible!

July 17-21 – Imagination Unleashed

If you can dream it, you can do it! This will be a week filled with fun and adventure. We’ll discover the ways our imagination can come alive. There will also be great traditional camp activities. Prepare for a week of new growth and new memories!

July 24-28 – Discovery Week

What makes you, “YOU?” Spend this week discovering what your “Spark” is. Sparks are the passions, skills, and strengths that are discoverable in all of us. They become passions for us, and when allowed and encouraged to explore those passions, we thrive. Along the way we’ll experience some great outdoor adventures!

Pricing

Included with the cost of each day, your camper will also get:

  • Morning and afternoon snack each day
  • At least two swimming days per week
  • Camp Fire T-shirt
  • Some weeks (depending on the theme) will also include a field trip

Summer camp has great value in the life of a child. We use our research-based framework called Thrive{ology} to help every kid find their sparks – what makes them come alive – and discover who they are. We not only want to have fun, but help give your kids the skills and tools they need to be successful in the future.

Financial Assistance

Our goal at Camp Fire Heartland is to help as many youth as possible participate in our programs. A limited amount of financial assistance is available to attend our summer outdoor programs, and is awarded based on financial need.

Cancellation policy

Notification of cancellation is required at least one week prior to the start of your child’s session for any refund to occur. Call Camp Fire at 816-285-9441 or email your notice to heartland@campfire.org. In the event of a medical condition that causes a cancellation, a full refund or transfer to another session will be made with written notification from the family. To transfer to another session, please call or email the Camp Fire office as soon as possible.

Please note: We have a new online registration system and you will need to create a new account if you have not already. Here are some suggestions for creating your online account/registration:
  • Do not create multiple online accounts using different email addresses – this will create more than one household in the system. If you did not receive a follow-up confirmation email:
    • Check your spam folder
    • Go to the registration site again, click Sign In, then Reset Password. Type in the email addressed you used to create the account, then click Send. If you don’t appear to receive it, check your spam folder.
